Hey how are you going with your decision? We've missed you on the boards! :)

My time to accept is almost up but I'm thinking of accepting it and paying the fee just to buy myself some extra time. I'm not 100% happy at my new job and I think about Disney on a daily basis. I'm just really torn right now because I feel like staying here at my job is the responsible thing to do, but if I'm not happy then it's not really worth it. Argggh I hate being an adult!

For anyone that has accepted their offer, what was the program fee? I think they told us at the presentation but I can't seem to find it written anywhere.

Well guys I got the email saying I'm accepted but I don't think I want to do the role. :( it's basically a laundry assistant. I feel that if I did that for six months I would not learn anything relating to my career and it would be a waste of time.. What to do. :(

Hmmm it's a tough one. Is it working in one of the hotels? I've heard/read a lot from people saying that you can learn a lot no matter what your role on the program, it's all about the attitude you go into it with. This could lead to other opportunities down the track, particularly if you want to stay with the company. I think if you try to make the most of it, it wouldn't be a waste of time. That being said, you know best your situation and your plans for your future and whether or not this is worth it. I don't envy you this decision but I'll try to send you lots of warm fuzzy thoughts.

I sent an email asking questions and whether I can wait for another position. I feel that in the end I'll end up doing the role and request to be moved. I really wanted a guest interaction role and this feels like the opposite.

I declined my offer today :( Absolutely broke my heart. Probably shouldn't have done it at work since I started crying right after but at least no one else was in the office. I also sent through an email explaining my decision because I felt so bad about it. I really hope I'm making the right decision! The only consolation is knowing that now I can focus on saving up for a Disney vacation next year!

Just my two cents but I think you should accept the offer and then try to change roles once you get there! And even if you can't change, I'm sure you'll find a way to make the best out of the experience.

Oh! My heart goes out to you but you should do what's best for you. Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to but will turn out to be better in the long run. Who knows you may end up working for the mouse through other avenues! I'm thinking I will accept it once I receive the reply email. If you come in the time I'm there we should say hello!
