I know they do a full criminal background check. I've got a caution for an offence a year ago. Am I basically screwed?
Depends on what the offence is I guess. But it never hurts to try anyway. They don't turn people down just because they have something on their record...
Possession of a Class A substance. Only a caution however. I took the heat for someone else...that's what "love" does to you!
well lets hope so....a caution's such a grey area of the law....it's not a criminal record as wasn't convicted in a court of law but will show up in certain checks I think. Finger's crossed I can cross that bridge when it comes!
Ya it will depend. Do really well at your interview. Like the others said it does not hurt to try. They asked us in the privet interview if we had any run ins with the law. Tell them the truth, and they will make note of it. Shows your honest and that will be a plus to fight against the negitive.
We were in charge of getting our own background checks. And usually only convictions show up, everything else is sealed.
You go to the local police station and ask for one. It usually runs about 10-30 bucks. I already had one from being a Spark leader.
depends on where you go-- i got mine on the spot in kingston ontario canada because the girl doing them wasnt busy.
I got mine when it was still Castaway in charge, and Eric said to get the cheapest, quickest one. So I don't think it matters.
