Hey I know there has probably been a million threads on this but I couldn't find any. I was just wondering when family benefits kick in. Is it after you have worked there for 90 days, or does it kick in when you get your ID card? My family is already booking time with me to go and I don't leave until december lol

    Thanks!

80% sure all your benefits kick in (except cruise line ones) as soon as you get your Disney ID in the first few days.

i thought during this first 90 days you dont get the main gate passes for friends and family and the chance to get discounts on hotels etc. but maybe i read wrong

Yeah I could be wrong as well, but I thought the main gate passes were tied into your Disney ID, and the discounts on hotels were in the cast portal online (which you get access to when you get your ID).

Again 80% sure of this, not 100%.

Ordinarily, it's ninety days before main gate passes are issued. However, as a cast benefit during the Happiest Celebration on Earth, they are being issued *much* sooner - something like fourteen days after Traditioning.

All personal discounts (your own free access to the parks, F&B discount, merch. discount, hotel discounts) take effect as soon as you obtain your ID.

wow thats really nice to know. i told everyone to at least wait 90 days before they come visit me cause before that they have to pay full price in the hotels but i guess some can come earlier LOL.

does any of you know about the discounts for the people working in partecipant companies?
I am going down for Alfredo's and I was wondering about the discounts/gate passes for the guys not directly employed by Disney...any french/Italian/other partecipant countries who can help?

You got your Main Gate before your Disney ID? I'm sure that's not meant to happen.

In fact, I'm surprised that you got a main gate. It's obviously your hybrid IP/CP status: US CPs, I believe, don't get main gates - but IPs do. How confusing :p

ACTUALLY! US CP's now do get Main Gate Passes... tis new this year. I hate being on a stoopid pilot program...things that go wrong can't be fixed for our time here :'( so no time off for me for a whole 11 months :'(

That's really interesting. Lack of Main Gates was a gripe for a lot of people, so that's a positive step!
