Food and Bev or Merchandise?

Which is better? Which do you want to do etc etc.

I heard that you earn more money in f&b - therefore you can travel more, go out more etc.

Where do u think you make the most of your friends, in your arrival group, at work or in your living area?

I want to work F&B, mainly because the money can be better. I do heart the merch costume though. I think I made most of my friends from both work, and WDWIP! Some of my closest friends are members of WDWIP (though I am generally the only one who posts anymore LOL). I didn't spend much time in my apartment... but am I'm still friends with all 3 of my roomates!

 

You'll get to know a lot of people no matter where you work, there's a lot of parties and other social events that you'll met other people at! I worked f&b and want to go back to that. I like it because it gives you a better chance to talk more to the guests + you get all that tips ;D

 

You will meet enough people no matter where you are. I was in F&B and almost all of my close friends that I still talk to were in Merch. You will see enough of everyone no matter what you do. F&B sometimes is better for more money though.

 

See now I've heard that the tips for UK f&b workers are crap compared to everyone else becaue it's mostly guests from the UK who eat there and they are rubbish at tipping cos nobody does it over here. Is this true? I'd love to go for f&b but am a little worried about the fact that the pay will be so low if you don't get many tips.

 

I wanna mix with everyone in the pavillion but I assume i wont get to interact with anyone over in f&b? Maybe you get break times together and stuff?

Also what is this HRC place, I hear you dont get alot of the disney perks if you get put there :-( x

 

Yeah, I've heard that too... something to do with Heritage and finding out what people's names mean and stuff. I'm sure there was another thread about it.

I think everyone gets to mix... especially if you go to UK Lasses (though I'm a little worried about not drinking! But I can be the sober who takes all the pictures LOL)

 

haha this is a really good point!! But I doubt that it's mainly UK guests though, so no worries there. Darn our no-tip culture!!
Yeh I hope to mix with as many crowds as possible! I bet they have awesome nights out there. Don't worry about not drinking!! I don't want to just mix with people on nights out, I was thinking day trips too and weekends away and shopping trips to wallmart!!!

Hehe, it sounds like we've got a lot of like minded people on here! I too am up for socialising and all though I love a good night out I also wanna go on day trips to other parks, go shopping and all the other millions of things on my wish list!!

the countries of the crp all have their own drinking teams (male and female) i think they are every monday night or the canadian was anyway. lol. when it comes to the food and bev, they get paid about 50 cents more than the other roles.. even in the quick service side.

 

I thought it was only in the quick service roles that they got 50 cents extra, because they don't receive tips? That's what I got told in the bakery anyway.

You just turn up I think! I'm sure everyone finds out at somepoint when they arrive... the UK CM's already there will know you are coming.

 

you have a "throw in" on the first night if your a crp

lol I hope I get in, but I'm not a big drinker so I might be the odd one out if I did. ( I Know a Canadian whose not a drinker) lol I still like having fun though!

 

All I can say is that you get to meet everyone from your country there and it's kind of a welcome party! But I recommend that you go even if you don't drink! It's good to get to meet everyone and get to know someone!
