Ive been trying to find out how long you have to have lived in a country before you can represent it?
I thought you just had to be a complete citizen? I've got no worries since I was born in Canada, but I'm not sure about immigrants.
In my phone interview they asked me "what country do you hold a passport for?" which I imagine is the rule then.. you need a passport for the country you want to represent maybe?
This was pretty much exactly what I was about to say - as long as you have a passport for the country, I believe they think you can represent the country authentically.
I agree with the others on the passport thing. And to get a passport you have to be a citizen of a country, so I'd say you have to be a citizen of a country before you could represent it?
Agreed about the passport dealio, but also i think it will depend on how well you answer the questions about representing the culture of a place-- if you haven't been there for very long you might have to work harder to convince them to choose you over someone who has lived there for their entire life...
