About going about applying in canada, I have no idea as I'm not from there. But I believe it is Yummy you have to go through.

What they are looking for are outgoing, sociable, happy, friendly, always-smiling and enthusiastic people who would go above and beyond in making a guest feal special. And that's pretty much what they test you at during the interview. Sure, they will ask you questions that have to do with the job, but what they are really doing is checking out how you answer the questions. So remember to always smile and be enthusiastic about what you are talking about.

Prior experience in the role you are seeking does help, but it is not necessary.
When it comes to school, I don't know if they really care. I have interviewed with Disney three times, and never have they talked about school, or even made a referance to grades or class standing.
Volunteer work though, they loooove. But have never experienced it ever being talked about at an interview.

You can't choose when you want to go, but you tell them when you would like to go. And if you make an extra good impression at your interview that May '09 departure is yours.

    Good luck to you

Hey, good luck to you. :)

The interviews for the west coast are the next ones coming up. And they say you can apply in June for them. (Last I heard, they were in September, but no one has been able to find out exactly when or where yet. I think Phone interviews would be in August if that is the case.) If you don't go to thoese ones you will have to wait for a year. (I believe if you apply to thoese you can tell them you would like a spot after your first year. You can always e-mail them to ask how that should work and when you should apply.)

A great place to learn about the interview and what they are looking for is this website. If you have not checked out the interview section here already then here is a link to do so.

    http://www.wdwip.com/interview.htm

I found that helped me a lot. And as everyone will tell you... Smile. As if that is something hard to do though. LOL. I was so excited the grin did not come off my face till I was on the bus on the way home with a bad headache. LOL.

You should probably e-mail Kristen to ask about when you should apply for the time you would like to be there. (Getting known and curious early is a good thing. They will remember your name I am sure. I know Eric sure remembered me. By the time I got in.)

(Also a hint, think of things that may help set you apart from the others. Like for when we brought our passports I also brought a smiling picture, something that was an idea by another Canadian before me, and instead of just smiling I drew on it my character who looked like she was making me smile. I also brought out things that I do or have done that not everyone they hire would have done. Like I like to go dog sledding. Something that has a Canadian feel that not every applicant was going to talk to them about. Anything to help you to stand out will help you get in sooner. But be yourself. The interviews are TONS of fun. I never been to the CP ones but I am sure they are lots of fun too.)

Good luck though. Maybe I will be seeing you down there at some point. :)

Don't worry! I'm sure they understand that people easily make typos when sending e-mails... they will look at your resume/cover letter (and possible interviews) and base it on that.

Ya they know your nervous and excited and all that. I remember my first e-mail, it sucked... and you should hear some of the dumb answers I gave on the phone interview. They understand all that. I am sure they will like you. Best thing is to keep calm. ESPECIALLY for the phone interview when it comes. That always seems to be the most scary part for people. Cause it is normally harder to express yourself over the phone then in person. (But Smile, cause they can hear that in your voice.)

Like angeljenn3 said, they base A lot of this first stuff on your resume and cover letter. So just make sure they are well put together between now and when you send it in and make sure to sell yourself in the areas they are looking for. In the mean time learn some things about your area and Canada so when the phone interview comes you will be able to answer any questions about "Where you would take someone who has never been to Canada before" I sucked on that question my first time around but second time I had prepared exact locations and why.

Also what aspects should i include in the cover letter.

    I'm thinking:
    1. why i think i would be a good employee for Disney ex leadership skills ect.
    2. What i could share with others about my country

and i think i need one or two more things... care to divulge ?? :-[ im a wreck!

    yes, of course...
include everything that makes you stand out from the rest,
but don't mention stuff you've already included in your resume... just elaborate on more important stuff...
f.ex. you might write that you were a leader in your previous job, in your resume,
but then in your cover letter you write what you liked about that job, how you got it (if it was thanks to hard work, etc)

also write about all the stuff that you love to do, ie. help people, play with kids, talk to people, hard work etc... everything that disney is
when they write somewhere that they are looking for people who blablablabla...
those are the exact things you include in your cover letter... but don't forget to mention WHY

hey do you have the exact quote of what they are lookin for?

cuase ive tried to find it but i cant find the exact thing

As far as I know they never specifically advertise what they're looking for... especially from your cover letter. It's just the same sorts of things you'd put in applying for any other type of job (although, a little different because it is Disney, and if hired you'll be living with the people you work with).
