ok it says: Students may enroll full time in an American college or university on a J-1 academic exchange visa and work at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Participants may spend up to a full year working and taking Disney Theme Parks & Resorts College Program classes at the Walt Disney World® Resort while also completing distance-learning classes at their sponsoring U.S. school. so it says an "American college or university" .... does this mean you can go to any in the usa? or specifically orlando...because how do you go to uni and work at WDW if they are on different sides of the country... i know there is a logical explanation but it isnt very well explained... it also says "taking Disney Theme Parks and Resorts College program classes" what exactly are these? are they on the WDW premisis and do you get any recognition in doing these classes? like a certificate/"qualification" or something similar... thanks so much whoever can help me! i'm eventually going to take part in this program but not sure whether ill apply for just the summer work program or the one above... xxx
The american university that sponsors people for this programme is currently Central Michigan University. At no point do you actually travel to michigan for your classes (maybe for some sort of graduation but im not sure). CMU are necessary though as they sponsor our visas and hence the programme wouldnt be possible without them. The classes you take are those described on www.wdwcollegeprogram.com then go >program overview>educational opportunities>syllabi. The classes are held at Disney. Hope that was helpful, let me know if I can be of further use Ste
thanks alot for that! i kinda get it now! so as long as you do a course that kinda corresonds to your one at home i guess... does it count to your degree at home? or when you get back do you have to continue where you left off?
