I am going over from the UK, to work in food an beverage, and need a really good quality (but money is not a problem) camera, hence the Sony cuber shot. I have managed to narrow it down to four choices 1) DSC-T100 http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=DSC-T100&site=odw_en_GB&pageType=Overview&category=DCC+Digital+Still+Cameras 2) DSC-G1 http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=DSC-G1&site=odw_en_GB&pageType=Overview&category=DCC+Digital+Still+Cameras 3) DSC-N2 http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=DSC-N2&site=odw_en_GB&pageType=Overview&category=DCC+Digital+Still+Cameras 4) DSC-W200 http://www.sony.co.uk/view/ShowProduct.action?product=DSC-W200&site=odw_en_GB&pageType=Overview&category=DCC+Digital+Still+Cameras I need to know which is the best, if if anyone has had any experience of actually using any of the above. I have a comparison (provided by Sony) [Link below] which is probably bias and is, after all, only words on a page. http://www.sony.co.uk/product/CompareProducts.action?site=odw_en_GB&pcReturnUrl=%2Fproduct%2FProductComparisonWizard.action%3Fsite%3Dodw_en_GB%26pcReturnUrl%3D%252Fview%252FView.action%253Fsection%253Den_GB_Products%2526productcategory%253D%25252FDigital%252BPhotography%25252FDPH%252BDigital%252BCompact%252BCameras%252B-%252BCyber-shot%25252FDCC%252BDigital%252BStill%252BCameras%2526site%253Dodw_en_GB%2526page%253DProductSeriesHome%2526category%253DDCC%252BDigital%252BStill%252BCameras%2526site%253Dodw_en_GB%2526category%253DDCC%252BDigital%252BStill%252BCameras%26sectiontype%3DProduct%26modelName%3DDSC-T100&models=DSC-T100&models=DSC-G1&models=DSC-N2&models=DSC-W200&models=DSC-W50&models=DSC-W100 Any help would be much appreciated Thanks JON1X303
I have a DSC-W50 (I've had 2 of them actually and a W70...dropped one, poured water on the other - me and technology don't get on that great ) and it's absolutely brilliant. Built quality is fantastic, ditto for picture quality, very little shutter lag, perfect size for my girly handbags, and the battery life is brilliant. The only problem I've found with it is red-eye, as the red-eye flash tends to blind all my friends so I don't use it . But I've had Sony digital cameras for years and red-eye is always an issue. I looked at an N1 when I was buying mine and decided against it as although it's got that flashy touch screen it feels really plasticy...looks the same for the N2 tbh. And I don't really go for the cameras with internal zooms like the T100. Reckon the W-series is your best bet - but that's just me
