June 12th people where are you?

Wow! one week from today and we will be in Orlando!

Time for some introductions, who are you? where are you from and when do arrive into MCO? Most importantly what is the first thing you want to do when you arrive?

I'm Lindsay I'm flying in from Toronto and should arrive into Orlando at about 1:15 pm on Tuesday. It may sound dumb but i won't feel like I've really arrived until I've taken a ride on the monorail. ;D

 

alright i'm going to fly from Paris to London Heathrow and then Heathrow to Miami and then Miami to Orlando .

i'll be flying with British Airways and American Airlines .

Hey! I think I'm on the same flight as you! I just, IN FACT, bought it today. I have to fly over to Calgary and have a bit of a layover there, and then off to Toronto for a few hours of a layover (time to clear customs and gather luggage, right? ;D ) and then I take a flight from there and should be arriving in Orlando at 1:15!

I refuse to think of myself leaving. I just moved back into my moms apartment for a week or so before I leave, so this feels like a Christmas break or something. A lot of visiting friends and sleeping in. Very surreal! Can't beleive I'm leaving the country for an entire year in less than a week... ugh, I have to start PACKING.

 

im june 12th UK arriving on the 8th but arrivin at airport with ma friend on the 12th at midday!

 

are you taking Westjet flight 926(10:35 am)? I moved back in with my parents for the 2 weeks before i leave as well so i know what you mean. as for packing i know what i'm taking i just don't know how i'm going to make it all fit.

Yep, I sure am taking flight 926! I'm taking the 131 out of my city to Calgary (which is going west... which is kind of redundant) where I catch the 652 (Anyone on that one? I think there were some people flying out of Calgary?) and FINALLY connect to the 926.

And I got it all for 290$ total I'm rather proud of that price. Despite the fact this flight is taking about 14 hours total... uuuugh.

 

Wow! that is is good price I paid $190 just for toronto to orlando. I'm guessing that you'll be arriving into pearson around 6/7am if thats the over night connection. i'm gonna try to get to the air port around 7ish i hope rush hour traffic isn't to bad that morning. We'll have to try and meet up at the gate.

Anyone else leaving the 12th(from any country)?

 

I'm not entirely sure what time I'll arrive - my ticket is packed away safely. But I do know I have a few hours in Toronto, so there's plenty of time to collect luggage and struggle with this whole customs things. Still kind of confused about that. We'll see how it rolls when I get there, I guess!

Just keep an eye out for crazy luggage It's lime green and white with swirls all over. Pretty hard to miss

 

im heading from glasgow to newark and then on to orlando on the 12th.
cant wait but im still convinced something is going to go horribly wrong.

 

Hey everyone... cant wait to meet you all.. Im Steph flying from Vancouver leaving on the RED EYE on the 11th to Chicago and arrive in Orlando at 10:21 am... so excited.....

hiiiiiiii! ;D we are 7 people from germany. leaving from frankfurt to MCO on monday! we will stay one night in a hotel and drive directly to the commons! SOOOOOOO EXCITEEEEED!!! ;D See you all there!! ;D ;D

 

This is great, looks like we're going to have quite a large group for the 12th.

How is everyone doing with your packing? I've given up trying to go with only 1 suitcase. I'm going to bring a second smaller on to pack things like bed sheets towels and stuff.

Jessie have you booked your hotel yet? Are you staying at one the disney hotel or somewhere else?

Hey AshleyDawn do you want to try and meet up before checking into the flight so we can try to get seats together?

For sure! I'm sure I'll bump into you milling about for my layover so where would you like to meet? I'm pretty familiar with the Toronto airport because every layover I've ever had in the history of ever has been there (many memories of sleepin on the floor between the seats, let me tell you).

Oh, also, does anyone have the phone number/email to call to notify them about my time of arrival? I tried Erics email but OF COURSE haha he's away at a conference until right after we arrive. Imagine that!

Oh man, you guys! So much time spent on here reading jealously about everyone else being there, and going there, while my countdown never seemed to end. For the longest time I've been looking forward to this and now its basically HERE.

YAY US!

 

I was called by some nice lady from orlando, who told me that we will be around 180 people arriving! And here is the problem: there will not be enough free apartments for us!! some people will have to go to other housings first and later they move to the commons. that is shi**y! well, we will see ... I hope they can manage that somehow.

@linz: no, we did not book a hotel yet, there are so many, we will just pick one ;D but we will not stay in one of the disney hotels - too expensive. we will take one of the motels / inns. we will arrive at about 2:25 pm in MCO, get our rental car and drive to the hotel.

 

When they say 160 don't panic...they include ICP, CP and CS participants in that.
