Okay, so I have looked at other posts, but none says directly what you cannot do if you are under 21. For example; can you go to places (places in or outside the theme parks) where they serve alcohol, even if you are not drinking. I do not drink alcohol, but maybe I will get friends who do, and are over 21. So my question is: Can someone make a concrete list of what you cannot do if you are under 21? Thanks alot everyone
Dont know how concrete this is going to be but I'll give it ago. Well you already know that you cant drink til you are 21. If you are staying in a wellness apartment where everyone is under 21 then you are not allowed to have any alcohol in the apartment at all (even things like cooking alcohol) otherwise you run the risk of getting the whole apartment termed. You can be at parties where alcohol is being served, but arent allowed to touch any alcohol, even if its just holding it for a minute for a friend. If security catch you then you could be termed. As far as I am aware you are allowed to go into most places where alcohol is being served. PI used to have a system where those over 21 got a wrist band showing that they where able to drink. I imagine some places will not allow those under 21 in, but I dont think it is a mandatory thing. Some places will allow it, especially if food is being served, and some wont. Nothing to do with drinking - but I know some car companies dont like renting out to those under the age of 21 and some charge extra fees if you are under 25. Dont think I've missed anything, but if I have I'm sure someone else will let you know
I was under 21 when I did both of my icp programs and at most places, they give wristbands to over 21s as Mhairi said, and draw big black crosses on the hands of under 21s so they cannot be given a drink sneakily by someone else. But you can still go to the majority of clubs and have a dance with a pepsi in your hand! Don't worry about how much you will/won't enjoy your program without being able to drink as I was so busy doing other stuff that I didn't even think about alcohol anyway.
Okay, thanks alot, both of you This was just the answers I was looking for. It is good to know that you can join clubs / parties were they serve alcohol, so that you don't have to be afraid of being sent home, by accidentally going into a bar where they serve alcohol. (not that I drink alcohol anyway )
You won't get into any of the bars/clubs in downtown Orlando (Church St) either without ID or without being 21. Been there, done that and had to get an expensive cab home at 10pm :'(
Or, if it was still running when you where leaving, get the Lynx bus from the TTC to just outside seaword, pick up a transfer and hope on one of the other buses going up IDrive. Think the fare was about $2.50. The bus takes a while, but if you were'nt in a big rush and wanted to save some cash...
Hey Jenn This is the website for Lynx - http://www.golynx.com/?fuse=cstm&app=route And this is the one for the I-Ride - http://www.iridetrolley.com/ If your going anywhere on Int Drive then I'd recommend the I-Ride, cheap, fairly regular and can be caught at Premium outlets. Takes you all the way up to the Prime Outlets via places like Seaworld. Hope that helps
