Does anyone know what different outdoor foods locations there is to work in? Im off to disney in 8 weeks and this is going to be my first job, so just wondered what sort of roles i could be doing..
Outdoor foods is basically those carts where they sell beverages, icecreams, pop-corn, pretzels...etc.. you get to work all over the park in different locations every day and get to wear pretty much all the costumes you could ever imagine hehehe As far as i know is pretty cool.. specially cuz you get to meet a lot of people and you get to watch the firework shows on excelent positions
Ah rite, cool, cheers, it sounds really good..I always thought it would be really fun, but sounds even better now from what u've all been sayin! ;D
It is pretty good and definatly better than it sounds... 2 things that suck about it though 1. You have to clean the carts perfectly at night... so things like Turkey Leg Greese will be something you'll grow to hate quickly. 2. Your shift hours are not set in stone at all. There are nights where your stuff gets finished quickly and you get off early. THere are other nights where it takes FOREVER and you end up working an hour longer you get scheduled... just as a heads up.
yeah that's true.. but extending it's not necessarily bad cuz it means extra money... Of course.. if it's Thursday and you cant wait to go to PI.. then, it's a whole different story hahahaha what i mean is that sometimes extending it's not that bad
Do you ever get pulled up if you clock out an hour later than you should do? I know they used to be really funny about us clocking out any later than our scheduled time when i worked there last summer.. This time last year i was flying out for my first disney adventure :'(
Nope when I was there last year they would modify your shift times before you clocked out so that there was no issues.
Ah rite, that sounds good then..I can't wait now, just another 7 weeks to try and get through first :-\
so just out of interest if we are told we are uk f&b is there a chance we could be outside on a cart in the uk pvaillion or is just the restuarants and qS f&b stuff at the chippy or the bar?
As far as i know, if you were told F&B.. then you might be pretty much anywhere they sell food and beverages at the UK pavillion: restaurant, bar, carts, etc.. at least that's how it is at the Mexican pavillion.. one day you might be at the outdoor QS LA CANTINA, another day at the indoor restaurant, and then at the outdoor bar... and so on...
Yeah but I don't think the UK has any carts... I believe it's just the fish and chips and rose and crown...
