Shayna is contracted to work from May 14 through August 25. I am trying to plan a family vacation from August 19 through until August 28 and then bring her home. Does anyone know if the August 25 day is still a work day, or is that the day they expect you to leave? I'm assuming she works the 25th and departs the 26th...? If anyone's got any ideas on this one, it would greatly help my planning!
For me, I'm May 30th to September 1st. I fly home on September 1st. So, I presume that means she's finished on the 25th. KC
Last year, my "program end date" was September 9th. This involved: September 7th: Last day of work September 8th: Free day September 9th: Depart accomodation and fly home This was the same for everyone with me on the international college program. I'd thus expect Shayna to finish on August 23rd (and KC August 29th). There's no reason of course why she couldn't stay in the US with you until August 28th as the visas have about thirty days additional validity.
Yeah my end date is September 1st but I can only get a good flight on August 30th....should I just call them and have my end date changed?
Well based on what happened last year, you don't really need to change the end date - if you are prepared to fly home the day after you finish working. As long as you're happy that you might be working August 29th and flying August 30th, you shouldn't have a problem. I have no idea if you can have your end date changed.
