So, say I get the nod to join Mickey in Florida for the year........HOW much luggage am I allowed to bring with me?? ??? I mean is it measured or what??? I mean we have to bring ALOT fo clothing for a year and some extras of course!! Any information would be GREATLY appreciated!! ;D
What you bring for luggage is going to depend on what airline you book your flight with and what their resrictions are on weight and size and number of peices.
Obviously it's airline dependant. If you fly with VA, you're allowed two suitcases. There is a weight limit, but it's high and I think you'd struggle to exceed that limit short of filling the case with bricks. I personally don't think fitting stuff in to take out there is a problem: what's difficult is managing to fit it, and all the things you buy, in the case to bring home again!
If that is the case, MOST airlines only allow 50 pounds?? That SUCKS!! I JUST got home from my vacation to Disney LAST WEEK and brought one suitcase and it was 50 pounds and there was NOTHING in it!! This is gonna kill ME!! I KnOW we can bring a carry on as well but that is still not gonna help me really!! Let's keep these replies coming!!
I know depending on airline - you have to weigh your luggage.... I know when I went to italy I was only a little under a month and I was at my capacity. If I do get the job - I will be driving - which has the benefit of not having to worry about weight!!
Well that would TOTALLY work for ya sista!! If I HAD a car I would TOTALLY drive down!! I have SO much I could bring and yet I am gonna have to get rid of it before I go!! I have 2 tv's...one bigger one and one tiny one, DVD, VCR.....EVERYTHING!! So now I guess I have to get rid of everything before I go down there!! :'( NO WORRIES THOUGH......glad to do it for the experience!!
Yeah, actually almost all airlines lowered their allowed baggage limits last year......Alaska and Delta are now 50lbs and they used to be 70lbs The rules are different for international flights (ie, anyone not in Canada) I believe it's around 32kg per bag...2 checked bags and one carry on? Just go onto the websites some airlines and look up their baggage allowence. I'm working with 2 bags (one HUGE one large) 50lbs each...and it's pretty tight...I'm at 42lbs and 38lbs Then I have a small rolling carry-on and a backpack.
