Hi Guys, I'm gonna be doing the CRP in July and I've read about the three different apartment complexes (The Commons, Vista Way and Chatham Square). I've been having a look around this site and I'm pretty sure the CRP is housed in the Commons but does anyone know for sure? Also, do they have WiFi in the apartments?
Ususally CRP's are in the commons, but I'm not sure if that's how it is anymore... There's also a brand new complex called Patterson Court. I'm not sure about wifi, but I don't think there is...
This is actually SteffieDavis, but I'm on tink's cpu and dont feel like loging her out, so w/e. They try to get all crp's into the commons still, though sometime there is overflow-- the commons is only crp though, no one else wil be put there. Everywhere else is mixed. No wifi, but there is an internet conection in the living room and it's no issue. If your really bothered you could get a router... really though, evryone sits together in the living room so it doesnt mater.
hi guys! this is in addition to the internet connection question.. if I am a CRP~Canada..and placed in the commons, or anywhere else.. and I have a laptop.. should I bring a router, ect.. for internet connection??? Or in the living room is there a connector that I can just plug in once I am there..and wanna get on the net? Thanks.. FYI~ I arrive June 24th.. which seems like just a hop & skip (NO JUMP) away!!
There might already be a router there. But you can just plug your computer right into the modem if you bring a cable for it
Is there only one plug, or are there enough so that multiple people can connect to the internet at once?

Yeah, there's more than one. And I think probably a lot of the apartments has wireless too, because there's usually someone who already bought it.
Been told there is broadband and most likely theres multiple access points but its probably common sense to jst do wireless in the whole area coz there is so many of us. apparently ppl on the cultural program will most likely be in commons but its getting over packed and we'll be moving to the patterson complex once its built. WOOOO 2 months to go.
to be honest the commons is never over packed, patterson court is open now but from what i see its just cp people there, not crp, all crp's are definately still bein put into the commons, u only get put into vista or chatham on a temp basis till a room or bed becomes available at the commons, only took 3weeks for me to move here! as for internet connection there is one in almost every apt, its not somethin people tend to take with them when they move lol so you'll always have it
No actually your wrong, the commons gets very packed, a few of my f&B buddies had to stay in chatham for the first month till space opened up, but its like a 5 minute walk for commons so it wasn't a nightmare!
It's only a nightmare if you get put in Vista, than you don't really get to see any of the Commons peeps, except for at work, so when you show up to work people all wonder who the hell you are, haha its great..
