Welcome to the New Walt Disney World International Programs Wiki

Why a Wiki?

I created WDWIP.com in the late 1990's as a record of our generation's time on the Cultural Representative Program, and as a resource to assist future participants. The site has grown in popularity every year since, and it is unquestionably the most valuable tool for today's WDWIP participants. However, it has been ten years since I was on the program now, and while the Disussion Forums are always up-to-date, the site content can fall behind quickly.

The Wiki format, created by the people behind Wikipedia, allows just about anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. And that's exactly what I hope the entire WDWIP.com site will become - a collaborative site that is always being updated. That way, it can better complement the popular forums, and always stay up to date.

What Can I Do?

Basically, there are two roles you could fall into, or more-likely, a combination of the two. You can simply be a Reader, and use the information on the site as you want. Or you could be an Editor, and assist in the creation of new articles/pages, updating of existing ones, and more.

If you are already familiar with using Wikipedia, then you're all set - we use the exact same engine to run WDWIP.com. That means the same markups and formatting can be used here. For details, please consult the appropriate user guide below:
