YAY! Nicola finally called me today! I'm heading down June 13th to work in...*gasp* attractions I'm gonna be working at the Great Canadian Movie Ride...or something like that...I was too busy trying to follow along with everything else Nicola was saying! Don't give up Dawn and snow.white.87! Nicola said that she was out of the office for 4 days, and Eric hasn't been in for nearly 3 weeks, so they're pretty swamped right now. They could still call you if you haven't heard yet! Way to fight over all the international guys! There better be some left when I get down there...let's learn to share people! Kevin has the right idea...it looks like he's willing to spread the love Congrats to everyone who got in, and good luck to everyone who's still waiting! Angela
Angela!!! Thats awesome!!!!!! We're both attractions! YAY! We'll be working together!!! We're 2 out of 4 people to be hired there...wonder who else got it........Thats hopeful news to those who haven't been called yet, that the office is swamped. I have my fingers crossed for everyone and here is some pixie dust for good luck! *************************************************************************************** *************************************************************************************** *************************************************************************************** ***************************************************************************************
If you're on the ICP-and therefore mean a ride at Disney MGM Studios, you're looking at the Great Movie Ride (Which is soooooooo cool, I'm soooooo jealous!!! It's a great ride!) If you're on the CP-and therefore mean an attraction at Epcot, I think it's called "O! Canada!" or something similar And yeah. I'm all about spreading the love (just not so much the slightly creepy internet guy kind )-if anyone EVER needs a hug, I'm totally available. I'm aaaaaaaaaaaall about the hugs Yay huggingness! Kev
I interviewed for the summer program in Vancouver and I was so sure that I hadn't gotten it! I called in today and Nicola said I had. 2.5 months in Disney this summer, what could be better? I even got a positition in Operations which was what I really wanted. I put merchandise as my first choice by accident, so I got really lucky. I couldn't, still can't believe it! I can't wait. So if anyone hasn't been called, just call in. You might still get accepted!
what exactly does operations entail? I read somewhere about parking. I really want to run a ride but what other stuff is there?
*quotes* Operations Cast Members will be placed in one of the following areas: * Attractions: working at any one of the "rides", theater shows or FASTPASS® locations ( Responsibilities may include: loading and unloading Guests, operating sophisticated ride systems, memorizing and delivering lengthy narrations to large groups, light cleaning of the attraction) * Parking: greeting all Guests who arrive by vehicle working mainly outside or at the Toll Plaza (Responsibilities may include: staffing Toll Plaza areas, cash handling, operating a motorized vehicle) * Park Greeter: greeting all Guests who enter the park and validating their tickets. (Responsibilities may include: , operating turnstile areas, obtaining knowledge of the Walt Disney World Resort ticket media, light cleaning and assisting with audience control.) I think attractions CMs also help with parade audience control but I'm not sure.
