london interviews march 21st

I'm going to be getting to the hotel for 4pm-4.30pm too, but then I've gotta pop out again for an hour or so (maybe less) as I have some bits and pieces to do. So I'll hopefully be able to see you anytime after 5pm-ish!

I really must start preparing for this interview I've had so much coursework and stuff to do that I've not been able to focus my thoughts on it much. Anyway, I'm going to start thinking about ti seriously soon so hopefully I won't be too worried by the time I get there!

 

I'll probably just kick about the hotel for a bit anyway to relax myself lol. Although if there is anyone else about we could just meet in someones room and chill out.

 

yeah I think I am gonna just chill at the hotel when I get there...I will be so nervous!!! I have been trying to think of good ways to handle the interview and bought my suit today-Disney is on my mind 24/7 right now-and Rose I understand how u feel-I have had so much work to get through that its hard to have time to focus properly....but I am putting coursework out of my mind for a bit-as right now, Disney is my priority!!! As I am sure it is for all u guys!

 

Well I'm actually finished all my coursework. :-[ I knew how hectic stuff was going to be in the lead up to the interview so wanted to get everything sorted so I could think about nothing other than the interview the week before. So although its not due for another week and a half, all my essays are written.

Although the downside to this is....ALL I'm thinking about is Disney and I keep having these horrible scenarios where bad stuff happens like the airlines lose my luggage or everyone I meet down in London doesn't like me.

I am a massive worrier. Its my major weakness....well one of them! ;D

To be honest though, my excitement far outweighs any worry.

 

Emi I too am a massive worry addict!!!! I am even dreaming about this interview! I keep dreaming all about getting lost in London! I think we will all get on well as we will all be in the same boat-nervous and excited beyond belief!!!!!

 

The dinner thing sounds really good actually, but being only just outside of london its a bit of a problem to legitimise with my family getting a hotel room and getting a late night train is quite a pain. But give me 24, il see what I can come up with.

I did see the Novotel when I was there though, its literally 30 seconds walk from the office which is good, its also really easy to get there from Hammersmith Tube (the directions say head for tesco, which you cant actually see, it really means turn left, walk for 100 meters and then you see tescos), and the people in the lobby seemed very nice if a little confused at me turning up to check if it was the right place a week early.

And the subway near the Disney place is overpriced.. even compared to other ones!

 

I just had a thought (Jamie you reminded me with the mention of Subway!) - do we have to take lunch or anything with us? I guess it depends how long we're gonna be there doesn't it?

 

I've heard folk say that they've gone for lunch in the middle of the day. I think the presentation is probably til about 11 and then you bugger off and wait til your interview time. So you could probably go catch lunch elsewhere.

I think. 8)

 

Although keeping a bit of chocolate handy (healthy habits) incase there isnt time might be a good idea? My only dilemma is breakfast, since we have to get in so early.

 

I'm so jelous you are all getting to go to the Hammersmith office. I'd love to see it! Good luck Emily and everyone I don't really know.

I bet it will be like any other office you go to, even Disney University wasn't disney crazy, it just had some pics on the walls and a muriel on one wall in the rooms but nothing mad and ostentatious!!!!! lol!!! shame!!!!!!! one of the girls I was with insisted we look in every room and down all the corridors looking at the pics, every single one she emitted a scream!! the looks we got were hilarious!!!

We gotta take pics to remind us anyway!!

we can add them to our blogs or something!! lol!!!!!

Yeah I'm kinda keeping a blog on my LJ. If it ends in tears I aint never looking at it again!! Haahaa.

 

I started one too, it makes me laugh about how stupid i am!!! i write some random stuff!!! lol!!!

Although if i don't make it i will keep using it as its a journal for med school 2008 as well!!! lol!!!!

Aww you guys are so cute! I'm sure you'll have no reason never to look at them again - when you're at Disney you can look back and remember the whole process of getting there and the emotional trauma!! ;D
