Hehe- now this I know the answer to- but I also know that it either took ages to get last time- or that no-one got it! So I'll keep quiet for now- it's such a good question- I learnt a lot about the Dapper Dans trying to find the answer to this question ;D!!

OK I am going to jump out on a limb as this one is really stumping me. There is a song called Cornet Man which has lyrics about a Dapper Dan in a powder blue suit so I am going to guess that its a Cornet player? Think this might be quite a silly answer but I don't care

If, when on a random wander through the utiladors, you were to stumble across a Daper Dan out of costume and happen ask which colour of Daper Dan he was, you would never hear the reply "powder blue".​
