New WDW name tag for 50th celebrations

Here is the new name tag for the 50th year of themeparks name tag

(one more reason to want to work at the world )

ok i know i should know this but what 50th celebration is it? I thought it was since the theme park had first opened, but then why wud the other parks b celebrating. :-\ So confused! x

I think this is it. It is the 50th Birthday of Disneyland in California, and so to celebrate all the disney parks around the world are celebrating 50 years of disney magic. It starts in may this year and lasts over a year, don't know exactly how long!

 

weird how it doesn't have florida as a name around the outside yet the others r there!

Oooooh! That's really nice! Maybe it doesn't have florida cos it has the WDW in the middle. If the others had their park symbols in the middle then florida would be one of the outside names.

Stu - I have heard that the celebrations will last 18 months.

Has anybody noticed the significance of the date its starting? 05/05/05 and what that is backwards!!!!!!!

Wow!!
The pin really looks nice!!!!
Yeah it is weird that the America parks are not mention.
But hey I am sure Americans now where are these.
But they will go awed, when they read there is one
in Japan, or that the Hong Kong one is going to open
soon.

The reason its starting on the 5th is because of the significance of the date. Its an 18 month celebration so it does cover the actual anniversary as well.

normal cast members also have where they come from too on their badge, i think?? but it is more imortant in the worldshow case, so i dunno what will happen!

Apparently, they will not be putting where we are from on the new name tages. I dont know why though!!!
But I do like the look of the new name tage.
may 5 is also the holiday for mexico.

Hey Funshine. U r rite, in Mexico May 5th is a holiday.
It is about a battle (what a shame for mankind)
It was battle against France in our territory, it has been
the only international intervention in Mexico.

Anyway, hey I think all badges will have our date.
For the world showcase it is esential that we show where
we are from, imagine, even when the guest see our badge and
says "Toluca, Mexico", they ask, where from America are u from?

Imagine without that data in the badges.
