thats what i thought! cant wait for the warm weather - so sick of the rain and wind here in the UK!!!
My chinese roommate turned the AC off at every opporchancity. It was like a greenhouse in the apartment. No need for covers at all.
Yes April will be warm enough for Shorts (I believe, June sure was and so was November, so I can't see April being much worse...)
yeh april will be warm!! some days in november were still roasting!!! it got chilly at night tho, im assuming wen i go in march its prob gonna be similar, warm in the day and chilly at night and yes, all u get is a bare (slidy) matress
i go out in august so its gonna be warm but i need something to cover me - im weird i cant sleep unless i have at least a sheet over me lol i hope i get a cool roomie who doesnt leave me to roast by keeping the ac off all the time!
I've been in December and it was warm enough for shorts, etc, it just gets cold-ish at night (ie you need a jumper), so any other time of year will probably be fairly warm!!
im exactly the same! it doesnt matter how warm it is, i need some form of cover over me to sleep! i think its a comfort thing.
im taking out a welsh flag fleecey blanket for the first night and then i wanna go get the tinkerbell comforter set from walmart. i have a double bed at home but im still gonna take it home with me and have it over my ottoman at the end of the year. omg i know im gonna spend so much money on my first walmart trip ive been browsing the website and seen so much stuff i want - no i need !!! LOL another question tho - is it worth getting a mattress topper? are the beds covered in thenasty plasticy stuff that u have to peel yourself off in the morning because all ur sheets have somehow ended up on the floor and any skin left bare seems to become attached to it?
yes! get a matrass sheet!! you just dont know who has been using that bed before you!! i know a sheet aint much but its definatly worth it
Yeah, my mattress protector has been a godsend at uni, and after hearing what goes on in Disney it's DEFINITELY coming with!!!
aww i have the tinkerbell comforter set... its sitting in florida waiting for my return, i loved that wee cosy beastie
Okay this might be a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyways, for those of us who are under 21 do we get separate rooms from those who are over 21? And if that's the case, what happens to those of us who turn 21 while we are there? I'm going in June and I turn 21 in October. Just wondering if its going to be an issue or not.
I was under the impression you could be moved to an over 21s apartment so you can legally drink, if your under 21 and your caught even with an unopened bottle its grounds for a termination i believe?
Its good to know that you can be moved, I really wouldn't want to get someone terminated because I had stuff in the fridge.
I'm pretty sure you can be, you've got a choice i think, but i'm only going on what i've heard from friends i've got over there, it might be a case of you HAVE to move, i dunno, i know the options there tho,lol
There are two types of apartments... if you are placed in Wellness those are DRY apartments (although I've seen alcohol in some of them). If you are caught and fess up you get terminated, if no one fesses up everyone gets termed. If you are not in a wellness (everyone in the apartment is over 21) you can have alcohol with no worries.
i have another question - when/where do we get our housing ID from??? when we arrive do we have to go somewhere and get a picture taken for it (not cool - il have been on a plane for the best part of the day so i wont be in any form for a photo!!!) also, when we arrive and get our key etc do we just get left to our own devices?? how do we find out where all the other same day arrivals are?? just really worried that il get there and be wandering around on my own like a lost sheep!!!!!!!! ;D xx
That was another question I had, I mean as much fun as it is to be wandering around aimlessly (which I do sometimes), I really hope someone will tell us where we are supposed to go, otherwise I'll be really confused, but then again, it doesn't usually take much! ;D
oo AND do they usually put you in a flat with anyone else who is the same day arrival, or at least almost as new as you?
