UK Applicants Summer 2014

Hello guys, can't believe how quickly this holiday is going. I am absolutely freaking out about the applications opening soon. It's even worse because due to visiting Disney. Actually got chills getting into Disney World. I hope we all make it!!!

Looking over my application one last time tomorrow, and that's it! Ready to apply! Scared stiff! ;D

 

Got my Step-Mum and Dad to look over my cv/covering letter, and I think that's the last time I'm going to open it! Getting really quite nervous now. :-[

 

I come back on the 6th of August, and don't worry, I'm just trying not to rub it in mate

And it's so close! I can't wait to apply

My firm university choice is unconditional which means I have got the grades I needed! The only question now is Apply on Thursday or wait till I get my official Btec results through the post so I can put them in my CV? :-\

 

when do you get them?? If it's only an extra week or so i'd wait and put them on so it's as updated as possible! That said, depending on the closing date, I wouldn't want to risk missing it!

 

Does the closing date usually get announced? My tutor has given me my unofficial grade but I dont want to put that on my CV until its official, I think I will wait until the day after A-Level results day.

 

Don't know actually - I would have thought they'd have to give a closing date?? Only one more day until we find out!

Anyone noticed their FB page has been very quiet the last few days?? I bet they're getting ready for 'the big day' ;D

 

I've never made a profile on the Yummy Jobs Page so is it the usual stuff Name, D.O.B, contact details ect.... or do you need stuff like passport number because we'll be applying for jobs abroad?

 

It was just bog standard info before the site went down - Uni details, course details, name, address, contact details, and the date you are available from. Nothing like passport numbers......all info you can get from your head!
It could all change with the new site though!

 

Can't believe at the time that I am writing this, it is (technically) tomorrow that we will be able to apply
Feels like we've been waiting for this moment forever!

Part of me doesn't actually want it to come so soon now, in case the worst happens :-\
I'm frantically checking and rechecking my cover letter/cv! Feels like certain words are starting to sound strange, that's how much I'm reading it!

 

I think they posted the closing date once applications were open last year but they closed a week early in the end.

(I just got back from graduation day and now it's time to reapply - hurrah!!)

Ok now i've seen the dog with the hat, and HOT DAYUM, that dog is painfully cute!

 

Might have been the best moment of the summer so far.
