Ah thank you, will have a read in a second Is it very similar in terms of application? Like the interviews and stuff?
Im not sure but I can ask my friend, even then it might have changed like this years Disney apps! Actually the blog I sent you has info about application!
Have just started reading and yeah just saw the application section actually So i'll have a long read! Thanks for your help! Still can't believe Disney have changed their policies this year though, how gutting
so gutted for you guys who cannot apply this year Regarding universal, I applied last year but failed (cue sad violin music, although totally not unexpected as I knew I could have done much better) but essentially it was application form then a pre-screen then a face-to-face. It was quite a quick process overall, pretty sure people found out before Christmas if they had been accepted for the whole thing and it kicked off late oct./early nov.. For people applying, can you go back and work on your application or do you have to do it all in one go?
I just got a message from Yummy Jobs facebook regardin universal and one semester, and they said in these exact words.... "This rule does not apply for the Universal Orlando Resort International Program." Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da ;D
Oh really? That's good to know! I'm not sure whether to apply for it or not, feel like I know nothing about it or Universal! ??? Do you happen to know when applications are planned to open for this year?
By the way a question for the guys who are successfully applying for the disney thing - Do you need all of your passport details? As in the passport number etc?
they look like they want a lot! Can you go back to it and do it in multiple sittings or is it all in the one go?
You can save it and go back to it - thank goodness!! Having a lot of issues though...will have another go tomorrow and if it is still playing up i'll have to email them!! :-\
That is a relief to hear thanks I am surprised that they opened up applications on the launch day of the website though, that was bound to cause a heap of problems. I am sure it will all be sorted soon though.
They probably should have gotten us to sign up by email first and then sent out invitations to apply in small batches so the site wasn't being overloaded! Still getting nowhere with trying to get on the site
Yeah same, when I try to apply I cannot get past Step 2 e.g. I put in a username/password and click submit but the page just reloads with everything missing. Ack well, not a lot you can do at midnight
Last year there was alot of problems with the website going down too! It took me like 4 days from being ready to apply to finally submitting my application. Good luck everyone!
Still having exactly the same issues as yesterday, so have e-mailed Yummy Jobs to let them know (like they told us to do on their Facebook page). Anyone else having these issues? Every time I save my application and then go back into it, much of the information is missing, or has been changed (E.g. it deleted all the things I wrote about work experience, and it keeps changing the date I am available for the program to 01/01/1970!) All the documents I upload (CV, Cover Letter, Passport Scan, Photo) disappear if I save and then go back into the application. Do I need to re-upload them every time, or are they actually still there and just not showing? It will only let me add two positions of work experience, and the second always becomes hidden if I save and re-open the application. As a side note, the work experience details are listed on my CV, so is it just a case of copy and pasting the information into the online form? (In addition to the uploaded CV) Within the Education section, I have listed my College/A Level information and my school/GCSE information, but the GCSE information always becomes hidden when re-opening the application after saving. The boxes that require selection from a drop down list of options (such as University, and 'Where did you hear about Yummy Jobs?'" always change to the first item on the list after saving and re-opening the application.
The YJ team are so nice and chirpy!! This is how Nick signed off his reply to my email: Thank you for your patience and rest assured we will have your application fixed and looking fantastic very soon. haha!
So I assume we've just to keep checking and updating until it finally saves all our details correctly? Now that I've finally actually been able to get on the site!
This is the full e-mail reply I got: Dear Jason, Thank you for your email regarding the technical problems you are facing with the application system. We apologise that you are having some problems with the new website and we are working with our web development team to rectify these problems. We have forwarded all of your feedback to the website team and will come back to you shortly with an update on the issues you have been facing. Thank you for your patience and rest assured we will have your application fixed and looking fantastic very soon. Kind regards, Nick Jacks Director of Operations Yummy Jobs Ltd So I guess this means they are going to send me another e-mail?? ??? I'm going to write up the new boxes (like Why do you value cultural exchange and interaction?) in word and then just wait until it is fixed. Also, it won't let me put my birthday in...the youngest date they have is 2003! Not sure they want 10 year olds on the program....
