UK Applicants Summer 2014

It's still deleting info for me....... do you think I should email them again? Don't want to look like i'm whinging!

 

I think photos are just sort of to reflect our personalities I dunno and probably to give them ideas about how we fit the 'disney look'. All I know is it gives me ideas of them being rather 'x-factor' like and having out photos all on a desk and pointing at who they want through

Yeah, I would not be surprised if they are still having issues. Although with mine, it seems rather ok *fingers crossed*

I would probably wait to email till Monday as they mentioned waiting till Monday before although I doubt it would reflect badly or anything if you did just now.

 

Damn...maybe I should have worn my Peter Pan costume and some Mickey Ears in the photo?

Also...I have way more than two places of experience, but it only has space for two....how are people getting round that? Does the second one "hide" itself when you save and then go back into the application?

 

Mine keeps swapping my current job and my previous job, and hiding my current one. Rather annoying!

 

I uploaded an actual passport photo, but my YJ social photo is a different one, so we'll see which one actually ends up on the application!

 

It keeps deleting my start date for Uni too, and switching the "where did you hear about YJ" keeps just switching to "Facebook".

Still don't know what to do about the experience bits.....do I just put in the two most recent? And these are just copy and pasted from our CVs right?

it keeps hiding my GCSE grades too

 

I thought about uploaded a much nicer one for Yummy Social...but it still says it has to be a passport like photo and am too scared to change it in case the casual one ends up on the application! :-\

 

I reckon it will be the one you updated on your application so you should be fine

Mine was not passport style but a candid that could almost pass but I will email on Monday about it. Should just stress on the things I can change like my CV, cover letter, motivation so on and on.

I am kinda lucky with the job experience, I only have two jobs. Helpful I know If it cannot be changed, I reckon you guys should put the experience best related to Disney so the ones where you showed the most customer service. I am sure YJ will best advise though.

 

After working at Primark Customer Services for the last 9 weeks, I feel I've probably got my customer services nailed down.

 

That will most definitely be more than enough to prove you are up to the job!

 

Two days are never the same in there... I could share some horror stories!!

Yep it's so frustrating!!!! I think i'll be sending them another e-mail with the issues im having on Monday, as Alice was told they thought they had fixed everything! So frustrating as I was so prepared and was convinced i'd be able to upload my cv and cover letter and click apply on Thursday!!

In other news...I finally figured out how to change my Yummy Social photo to a new one that doesnt look like I have requested a monk-like bowl hair cut! ;D
