Working on the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder

    Hi everyone
    I am going to work for Disney Cruise Line, I am leaving in a few days, and i have no idea on which ship i'll be on yet !
    I'd like to know how is the life onboard, work, parties, stuff like that
    ::) hope to meet some of you when i am onboard

    Well,
    I thought that ypu were from Quebec but I just read in the alumni directory that you are from France. It does make a difference since you're not from Canada. Like Angela wrote, they won't hired canadian in F & B. Well, good for you, frenchie ;)

    Angela,
    I've spent 14 months in Epcot, I was in F & B french pavilion.
    Now, i'll be in F & B again, on the ship !!
    Don't know how I'll handle that !!! It's gonna be so much harder than in WDW !

    I've applied on the international services web site, I did the same when I applied for WDW !
    What about yourself??
    I am from south france, between Nimes and Montpellier, by the sea  8)

    I told you girls, they do hire Canadians !!!
    I have a Canadian friend who is leaving end of november, he is gonna work in F & B as well.
    Another friend from Canada has been hired, but she failed on her medical tests  :-\
    + there is another Canadian who has been hired...
    See they DO take Canadians


    Canadians... don't give up !!!!!! You'll be onboard ! Keeping my fingers crossed for you

    est ce que vous savez si ...

    ???je suis française et j ai postulé pour bosser sur un bâteau de croisière mais manifestement mon anglais est insuffisant alors on ma proposé de partir un an bosser à disney au pavillon francais
    alors si vous avez vecu cette experience j aimerais bien en savoir plus bon plan ou pas

    bonjour
    POur avoir bossé à la fois à Epcot et aussi sur le bateau, je peux te garantir que c'est bien plus facile au pavillon français, qui plus est si ton anglais n'est pas bon ne tente même pas le bateau ce serait l'horreur, pour y aller y a intérêt d'avoir de solides bases sinon tu captes rien et tu vas galérer quelque chose de terrible.
    Quand à Epcot, c'est plus facile, beaucoup moins de travail, moins d'heures, moins de pression, plus de temps pour soi, tu peux voyager, faire la fête, rencontrer du monde. Pour ce qui est de l'anglais tu travailles à 70% en français, comptes pas trop sur cette expérience pour améliorer ton anglais à moins de t'en donner les moyens et d'éviter de trop trainer avec les français en dehors du travail. Le piège c'est de rester entre français, tu n'apprend rien. Faut aller voir ailleurs, rencontrer les gens des autres pays, parler avec eux et profiter à fond de la grande chance que c'est que de se faire des amis de part le monde.
