The guy was quality, Once when I was on teacart, my till was $50 up! Doug was one of the guys in charge although not technically a manager, he said, "I'll go away and come back and you can count it while I'm away and make it right". He came back and I said it's still $50 up, he had a word with the manager on shift, and told him I didn't want the $50 as I wasn't comfortable with keeping it.

I don't know who ended up getting the $50, but without Doug's help I would of got a warning for that.

Maybe it was some sort of test? who knows, if it was a test, I passed.

in 07 he was no longer there but from what I remember hearing, it hadn't been for long. I think they got strict about the fact he was actually American and moved him. They clamped down on having everyone who was working there actually British... or at least have the accent!

They should make all the chefs from the UK then, including the fish hut!

If they got rid of all the american chefs, that might go half way to making the food taste almost authentic......i wont hold my breath though.

Dex is the Jamaican chef who works in chippy - him and James actually used to have me in stitches

When not working in the chippy, Dexter enjoys getting wounded and killing bad man. His words not mine.

From what I heard, Doug went over to DAK - Boma I think, I'm pretty sure that was right, as of Feb this year! I loved Doug, he was absolutely hilarious!
