I wouldn't worry about gaining weight unless you plan on going out for dinner every night. I was really worried as well, but i hardly ever ate out because i was either working or had no money, i also can't/don't cook so i wasn't preparing big meals, literally had microwave pizzas or a sandwich from work! Also, you work such long hours in the blazing heat and can't sit down so that burns fat, then on days off there's so much to do that you're always busy! And the chocolate there is disgusting so I lost 2 stone and went down 2 dress sizes in 4 months, my family didn't recognise me when they visited, they actually walked past me! Obviously it's not healthy to lose weight that quickly, and i wasn't trying to but that's just what happened!
Its definately to do with your job. I worked in a restaurant so i was always on my feet, rushing about, and as ive said, much of the Rose and Crown is outside, so especially in the summer, you are sweating off the weight
I wouldnt worry about losing weight there... I lost almost 3 stone when I was there!for 3 months a few years back!! I found that I became so much more active than at home, always swimming, at the gym or out and about with friends, you tend to spend very little time sitting around, so you can cope with the junk food a lot more, also, for me, I can't eat much in the heat, so was drinking plenty of water all the time, which helped too! xx
Well, I did put on weight each time I was in Disney. It's mostly because i didn't have enough time to cook and would have pizza or smth not very healthy like that but drinking a lot water which I usually don't so - that helped a lot!! Really, my skin, hair became so much better!!
wow thats a lot of weight to lose, lol who needs bootcamp when disney sweats n walks it out of u! tho im a junk food lover and will prob hav a suitcase of cadburys n gaalxy if i went over so i think id prob get fatter lol n ther huge portions and so much choice lol that n the alcohol!
LOL noooooooooooooooooooo dont do it-the UK pavillion has a word for the Brits who come into the UK pavillion becauyse they are so sad that they cant live without British things, we call them scuzz-dont be scuzz! (they are generally the people who walk around Epcot dressed in football tops in the 90 degree heat, buy cadbureys chocolate for 4 times the price and go to eat fish and chips in the rose and crown..........you have to restrain yourself from slapping them and screaming "YOU ARE ON HOLIDAY YOU DULL UNIMAGINATIVE CHAVS!!!!" ;D
i agree-just dont bring it with you or that will be extra fines for you at lads/lasses lol (you can buy the properly imported stuff in the British food isle at Publix)
scuzz fines lol-generally, downing a bittle of wine or some of the vile spirits which are drunk in lads or lasses
I'd like to be another one for a great weight loss! Granted, the first six weeks I pretty much ate out every single night, and put on a tonne of weight. But when I stopped doing that and started in service, the weight dropped off. You drink tonnes of water, sweat buckets, run round like a headless chicken at work and spend your days off walking miles around theme parks. I even started going to the gym before work because I felt like it. Have never been so healthy!
i can vouch for elle, you did look stunning at the end of your program. Same here i bolged then dropped it. but now that im home its all come back.... dam the comfort food!
The main problem down in the US is the portion sizes! The comparison from Norway and the US is huge... Examples: - Norway: 1 Large scoop of ice cream = US: 1 small scoop - Norway: A hamburger plate is half the size of what you get in the US Another thing is the prizes If you eat at TGI's in the US with 3 people (full meal) we paid 60$, in Norway we have to pay 1 200 kr (approximatly 180$!!)
i found that i lost a lot of weight during my year on the CRP - not that i was in any way big or over weight to start with (5'9 and around 10 stone to start with, a size 12) i lost about 1 and a half stone during the year and was a size 10 when i came home, bit too skinny for being so tall and have since put it all back on again!!!!!!!!!! I think it must be the combination of running around at work in the heat and not really having the time to eat "proper" meals - if i was working an all day "mid" shift i would skip lunch and for dinner i would just munch a bowl of cereal or some toast before going out after work or flopping into bed! and yeah, walking around the parks on your time off must have played a part aswell!!!!
